Therefore, this article tries to study the evolution of the concept of "faith" in the opinions of Imamiyya theologians, using library sources and documents and an "analytical-descriptive" method. According to the results, textual theologians introduce the nature of "faith" as a combination of various cognitive, emotional and functional components, and this leads to a conceptual and connotational relationship between "faith" and "action". This is despite the fact that Shia rationalist theologians introduce the nature of faith as a single component which only has a cognitive-emotional component, which sometimes has an existential relationship - not a conceptual or connotational one - with action, and sometimes they acknowledge the absence of such a relationship. بررسی مفهوم «ایمان» در سیر تاریخی آرای متکلمان امامیه پرده از این حقیقت برمی‌دارد که تمایل و بینش متکلمان نسبت به دو مقولة «نص» یا «عقل»، در تعریف آنان از «ایمان» سهم بسزایی داشته است. از این ‌روی نوشتار پیش‌رو کوشیده است سیر تحول مفهوم «ایمان» را در آرای متکلمان امامیه با بهره‌گیری از منابع و مستندات کتابخانه‌ای و به شیوة «تحلیلی ـ توصیفی» بررسی کند. یافته‌ها نشان می‌دهد متکلمان نص‌گرا ماهیت «ایمان» را مرکب از اجزا و مؤلفه‌های گوناگون شناختی، عاطفی و عملکردی معرفی می‌کنند و این به ارتباط مفهومی و التزامی میان «ایمان» و «عمل» می‌انجامد. این در حالی است که متکلمان عقل‌گرای شیعه ماهیت ایمان را تک‌جزئی و تنها برخوردار از مؤلفة شناختی ـ عاطفی معرفی می‌کنند که گاه آن را در ارتباطی وجودی ـ و نه مفهومی و التزامی ـ با عمل دانسته و گاه بر نبود چنین ارتباطی اذعان داشته‌اند. https://kalami.nashriyat.ir/sites/kalami.nashriyat.ir/files/article-files/2021975-1726484834.pdf
