abstract = {The question of the miraculous nature of pre-Qur’anic scriptures—particularly the original Torah and Gospel—has remained largely neglected in Islamic theological discourse. The theory denying the inimitability of these scriptures emerged based on specific theological premises and has significantly influenced how their revelatory status is understood. Examining and critically evaluating the foundations of this theory is essential, as any position on the possibility or impossibility of their inimitability ultimately depends on the validity of these premises. This study adopts an analytical-critical approach to identify and reconstruct the core assumptions of the theory—namely, the absence of supernatural events, the lack of challenge (taḥaddī), the possibility of counter-production (muʿāraḍa), and the denial of universality. It then critically assesses these premises from both rational and scriptural perspectives. The findings suggest that the aforementioned assumptions lack sufficient evidentiary strength and are inconsistent with sound theological reasoning and Qur’anic indicators. Accordingly, the theory denying the inimitability of the original Torah and Gospel lacks theoretical coherence and calls for fundamental revision.},

abstract_fa ={مسئله اعجاز کتب آسمانی پیش از قرآن، به‌ویژه تورات و انجیل نخستین، از مباحث مغفول در کلام اسلامی به‌شمار می‌رود. نظریه نفی اعجاز این کتب، با اتکا به مبانی خاصی در اندیشه متکلمان اسلامی، شکل گرفته و در تبیین جایگاه کلام وحیانی اثرگذار بوده است. اهمیت واکاوی و نقد مبانی این نظریه، در آن است که هرگونه موضع‌گیری در قبال اعجاز یا عدم اعجاز کتب آسمانی متوقف بر صحت این مبانی است. پژوهش حاضر، با رویکرد تحلیلی ـ انتقادی، نخست مبانی نظریه مذکور، شامل عدم خرق عادت، فقدان تحدی، وجود معارضه و نفی جهان‌شمولی را شناسایی و بازیابی نموده و سپس از منظر عقلانی و وحیانی به بررسی انتقادی آن‌ها پرداخته است. یافته‌های تحقیق نشان می‌دهد که مبانی مزبور، فاقد قدرت اثباتی کافی بوده و با تحلیل‌های عقلی و شواهد قرآنی ناسازگارند. بر این اساس، نظریه نفی اعجاز تورات و انجیل نخستین، به‌لحاظ مبانی نظری، از انسجام لازم برخوردار نبوده و نیازمند بازنگری بنیادین است.},
