However, a review of the history of the formation of this theory indicates that its association with atheistic interpretations is not a logical necessity of the theory, but rather the result of the dominance of a specific interpretation thereof. Focusing on the theoretical and historical position of Alfred Russel Wallace, this research demonstrates that the theory of evolution, commonly known by the name of Charles Darwin, initially possessed a teleological reading as well. While accepting the mechanism of natural selection, Wallace emphasized a type of directionality and guidance in vital processes; however, this interpretation was marginalized during the consolidation of the dominant Darwinian narrative. Employing an analytical-historical method, the present study first addresses the conceptualization of evolution, Wallace, and guidedness in life. It then examines Wallace's biography and the reasons for the marginalization of his viewpoint. Subsequently, examples of early and contemporary biologists who believe in guidedness are analyzed, and finally, the consequences of eliminating the Wallacean approach are explained. The findings indicate that insistence on a non-teleological reading of evolution, in addition to depriving science of an alternative and defensible interpretation, has led to unnecessary tensions between science and religion and provided the grounds for the atheistic exploitation of this theory. Accordingly, a fair re-reading of Wallace’s legacy can assist in opening new horizons in the dialogue between science, philosophy, and religion. }, keywords = {Darwinian Evolution, Alfred Russel Wallace, Guidedness of Life, }, title_fa = {آلفرد راسل والاس و هدایت‌‌شدگی تکامل‌گونه‌ها}, abstract_fa ={فرگشت یا تکامل نظریه‌ای است که در سدۀ اخیر از سوی ملحدان در سطح وسیعی مورد استفاده قرار گرفته است. بااین‌حال، بازخوانی تاریخ شکل‌گیری این نظریه نشان می‌دهد که پیوندش با قرائت‌های الحادی، نه لازمۀ منطقی نظریه، بلکه حاصل غلبۀ تفسیری خاص است. این پژوهش با تمرکز بر جایگاه نظری و ‌تاریخی آلفرد راسل والاس نشان می‌دهد که نظریۀ تکامل، که امروزه با نام چارلز داروین شناخته می‌شود، در آغاز واجد خوانشی هدایت‌باورانه نیز بوده است. والاس با پذیرش سازوکار انتخاب طبیعی، بر نوعی جهت‌مندی و هدایت در فرایندهای حیاتی تأکید داشت، اما این قرائت در جریان تثبیت روایت داروینی به حاشیه رانده شد. تحقیق حاضر، پس از مفهوم‌شناسی «تکامل»، «والاس» و «مسئلۀ هدایت‌شدگی در حیات»، با روش تحلیلی ـ تاریخی، به تحلیل سرگذشت والاس، چرایی کنار نهاده شدن دیدگاه او، آرای زیست‌شناسان متقدم و معاصرِ قائل به هدایت‌شدگی و پیامدهای حذف رویکرد والاسی پرداخته است. یافته‌ها نشان می‌دهد که اصرار بر قرائت غیرهدایت‌شده از تکامل، افزون بر محروم ساختن علم از تفسیری بدیل، به ایجاد تنش‌های غیرضروری میان علم و دین و فراهم شدن زمینۀ بهره‌برداری الحادی از این نظریه انجامیده است. بر این اساس، بازخوانی منصفانۀ میراث والاس می‌تواند افق‌های تازه‌ای در گفت‌وگوی علم، فلسفه و دین بگشاید.}, keywords_fa = {تکامل داروین ,آلفرد راسل والاس ,هدایت‌شدگی حیات ,}, url = {https://kalami.nashriyat.ir/node/5003713}, eprint = {https://kalami.nashriyat.ir/sites/kalami.nashriyat.ir/files/article-files/5003713-1789971285.pdf} }
