The present study, with the aim of elucidating this relationship in the thought of Ayatollah Misbah Yazdi, examines the place of worldly happiness in the path toward attaining hereafterly happiness. The findings of the study indicate that, based on the principle of the “unity of life,” these two forms of happiness are not two separate ends, but rather two hierarchical stages of a single reality that acquire their meaning along the course of human perfection. Although worldly happiness does not possess intrinsic ends in itself, it has instrumental value as a necessary prerequisite and a foundation for the actualization of the human being’s higher potentials and for progressing along the path toward divine proximity. Therefore, in the thought of Ayatollah Misbah Yazdi, worldly happiness is not explained as an independent and separate end, but rather as a preliminary stage that provides the necessary foundation for the realization of human perfection and the attainment of everlasting happiness. In evaluating this view, challenges have also been raised concerning its foundations and implications. نسبت میان سعادت دنیوی و سعادت اخروی، از مسائل مهم انسان‌شناسی دینی و از پرسش‌هایی است که تبیین آن، در گرو فهم غایات حیات انسانی و مراتب کمال اوست. پژوهش حاضر با هدف تبیین این نسبت در اندیشه آیت‌الله مصباح یزدی، به بررسی جایگاه سعادت دنیوی در مسیر نیل به سعادت اخروی می‌پردازد. یافته‌های پژوهش نشان می‌دهد که بر اساس اصل «وحدت حیات»، این دو سعادت نه دو غایت منفک، بلکه دو مرتبه طولی از یک حقیقت‌اند که در امتداد مسیر کمال انسان معنا می‌یابند. سعادت دنیوی، هرچند اصالت ذاتی ندارد، به‌مثابه مقدمه‌ای ضروری و بستری برای فعلیت استعدادهای متعالی انسان و حرکت در مسیر قرب الهی، از ارزش ابزاری برخوردار است. ازاین‌رو، در اندیشه آیت‌الله مصباح یزدی، سعادت دنیوی نه غایتی مستقل و منفک، بلکه مرتبه‌ای مقدم و زمینه‌ساز برای تحقق کمال انسانی و نیل به سعادت جاودانه تبیین می‌گردد. در ارزیابی این دیدگاه، چالش‌هایی نیز نسبت به مبانی و پیامدهای آن مطرح شده است.
