abstract = {Nowadays, Paulo Coelho's works are classified as a new kind of mysticism. Most of his works are in the form of novels and are not easily comprehended, when it is very important for the multitude of readers of his works to understand the principles of his thought. The present paper investigates his theological views. To this end, all his works were carefully studied and notes were taken. Then, the information which has been carefully gathered and classified and finally his doctrines, which have been well organized and their meanings clarified, were criticized and deliberated.
The outcome of Paulo's theological views can be explained as follows: the tendency to consider religion as a social contract the only function of which is to provide collective worshiping. Maintaining that individuals are different from one other and the duty of each of them is to peruse his/her own dreams. He, therefore, sees that the there is no need for having a prophet and a sacred law and every one can find his way by oneself. He also believes in reincarnation in teleology.

abstract_fa ={امروزه آثار پائولو کوئلیو در رده‌ی عرفان های نوظهور جای گرفته است. آثار پائولو بیشتر در قالب رمان است و یافتن مبانیِ اندیشه ای او، چندان ساده نیست؛ حال آنکه برای خوانندگان پرشمار آثار او، درک اصول اندیشه هایش بسیار مهم است. در این مقاله دیدگاه های دین شناختی پائولو بررسی خواهد شد. برای این کار همه‌ی کتاب های پائولو را به دقت مطالعه و فیش برداری، و سپس با دقتی بیشتر اطلاعات را جمع آوری و طبقه بندی کردیم. در مرحله‌ی آخر آموزه های او را که اینک انسجام یافته بودند و در کنار هم مرادشان آشکار شده بود کانون نقد و تأمّل قرار دادیم.
خلاصه ای از نظرات دین شناسه پائولو را چنین می توان گزارش داد: پائولو تمایل دارد دین را نوعی قرارداد اجتماعی بداند که تنها کارکرد آن فراهم کردن نیایش جمعی است. او هر انسان را متفاوت با دیگران، و وظیفه‌ی هر کس را پی گرفتن رؤیاهای خود می داند. از این رو اعلام می کند که نیازی به نبوت و شریعت نیست و هر کس می تواند راه را خود بپیماید. در فرجام شناسی نیز پائولو معتقد به تناسخ است و کوشیده است آن را موجه بنمایاند.},
