Among the things which has been desecrated is the position of Imam. Some writers claim that the scholars of the second and third century ('AH'), including Sheikh Ṣaduq (May God have mercy on him) rejects the idea of the superiority of Imams over others, and that earlier scholars have mercy on him), as well as the Imams themselves have reduced position of Imamate to "righteous scholars". They also claim that whoever disagree with this view is considered extremist and has to be excluded from Shi'a society. Having studied the applications and characteristics of extremists mentioned in Sheikh Ṣaduq's works to find the limits of immoderate beliefs in his thought this paper concludes that, contrary to these writers' claim, Sheikh Ṣaduq confirms that many of the characteristics of the Household of the prophet show their superiority over others although he thinks that the prophet is liable to distraction یکی از مباحثی که امروزه در ایران، به پیروی از بعضی متفکران غربی مطرح می شود، تقدس زدایی از جهان و دین است. از جمله مباحثی که سعی در تقدس زدایی از آن شده است، جایگاه امام است. برخی نویسندگان ادعا کرده اند که علمای قرن دوم و سوم، از جمله شیخ صدوق، هیچ مقام فرابشری برای ائمه(ع) قائل نبوده اند و علمای متقدم و حتی خود اهل بیت(ع)، امامت را در حد «علمای ابرار» تنزل داده اند. برخی نیز اعتقاداتشان مخالف این نظر بوده، تحت عنوان غلات شناخته شده و از جامعه‌ی شیعی طرد شده اند. این مقاله در پی این است که با تتبع در کاربردها و صفات ذکرشده برای غالیان در کتب شیخ صدوق، مرز غلو را در اندیشه‌ی او پیدا کند و نشان دهد برخلاف ادعای این نویسندگان، شیخ صدوق، با اینکه به سهوالنبی معتقد است، صفات فوق بشری بسیاری را برای اهل بیت(ع) اثبات کرده و به این صفات اعتقاد داشته است. https://kalami.nashriyat.ir/sites/kalami.nashriyat.ir/files/article-files/3_1.pdf
