In this regard, these two sects pay complete attention to the principle of God's grace, with, no doubt, different presentations. While proposing the principle of grace, Imamiyyah emphasizes on man's choice and free will to achieve felicity. On the contrary, Catholic sect, along with an all-comprehensive scheme of the doctrine of grace, emphasizes on the weakness of man's will- who has descended due to the Original Sin- with regard to achieving felicity, and holds that divine effluence is the decisive factor in salvation. Using a theoretical-documentary approach, the present paper seeks to comparatively reanalyze the relationship between the principle of "grace" and man's "choice" from the view of Imamiyyah and Catholic sects. The most important research finding is that the last element of perfect cause of man's volitional acts is "choice" and " divine "grace" from the view of Imamiyyah and Catholic sects, respectively. از موضوع های مشترک قابل بررسی میان امامیه و مسیحیت کاتولیک، ضرورت «فیض» یا «لطف» خداوند برای دستیابی انسان به سعادت و نجات است. در این راستا دو مذهب به اصل لطف خداوند توجه کامل دارند، اما طرحی که از آن ارائه می کنند، کاملاً متفاوت است؛ به گونه ای که امامیه در ضمن طرحِ قاعده‌ی لطف، بر اختیار و اراده‌ی آزاد انسان برای رسیدن به رستگاری تأکید می ورزد، اما آیین کاتولیک در راستای طرح همه جانبه‌ی حمایت از آموزه‌ی فیض، بر ضعف و ناتوانی اراده‌ی انسان، که بر اثر گناه نخستین سقوط کرده، برای رسیدن به سعادت تأکید می کند، و عامل تعیین کننده در امر نجات را فیض خداوند می دانند. مقاله‌ی پیش روی با رویکرد نظری و اسنادی تلاش می کند رابطه‌ی اصل «لطف» با «اختیار» انسان را در مذهب امامیه و آیین کاتولیک به روش تطبیقی واکاوی کند، و در ادامه نتایج اصلی بیان شوند. مهم ترین نتیجه‌ی به دست آمده آن است که جزء اخیرِ علت تامه‌ی اعمال ارادی انسان از نگاه امامیه، «اختیار» و از دیدگاه کاتولیک، «فیض» الهی است. https://kalami.nashriyat.ir/sites/kalami.nashriyat.ir/files/article-files/3_4.pdf
