abstract = {The modern spirituality is a theory that has been proposed in recent decades by some Iranian modernist intellectuals. According to this theory, religious spirituality has lost its effectiveness for modern man and has caused him suffering and confusion. Based on the modern rationality, this theory seeks to provide a spirituality commensurate with the needs of modern man. In any case, emphasizing one of the fundamental issues of philosophy of religion (the relationship of reason and religion) and since the legitimacy of any intellectual and philosophical approach depends, at least, on having an internal coherence between the components of its theory, this paper tries to analyze the theory of modern spirituality from the point of view of internal coherence and harmony between the components. Using a descriptive-analytical and desk-research method, and presenting numerous pieces of evidence - such as refusing devotionalism, the unprovability of religious claims and etc. we conclude that, the modern spirituality has major drawbacks and ambiguities in this regard},

abstract_fa ={معنویت مدرن نظریه ای است که طی چند دهۀ اخیر از سوی پاره ای از روشن فکران تجددگرا در کشور ما مطرح شده است. براساس این نظریه، امروزه معنویت دینی برای بشر مدرن کارآمدی خود را از دست داده و او را با رنج و سرگردانی مواجه ساخته است. لذا این رویکرد، درصدد است براساس عقلانیت مدرن، معنویتی متناسب با نیاز انسان امروزی ارائه دهد. به هر تقدیر، ازآنجاکه حقانیت هر رویکرد فکری و فلسفی دست کم وابسته به آن است که از انسجام درونی میان مؤلفه ها و اجزای نظریۀ خود برخوردار باشد، پژوهش حاضر می کوشد با تأکید بر یکی از مسائل بنیادین فلسفۀ دین (رابطۀ عقل و دین)، نظریۀ معنویت مدرن را از زاؤیه انسجام و هماهنگی درونی میان مؤلفه  هایش تحلیل و واکاوی نماید.
نتیجه ای که در این تحقیق با روش کتابخانه ای و شیوۀ توصیفی ـ  تحلیلی حاصل آمده، گویای آن است که معنویت مدرن در این جهت دارای اشکالات و ابهامات عمده ای است. نتیجۀ مزبور، با ارائۀ شواهد متعددی ـ همچون تعبدگریزی، اثبات ناپذیری مدعیات دینی و... ـ در پژوهش حاضر نشان داده شده است.},
