    Systematic Theology of the Mormon Church in Latin America: An Examination of Doctrinal Nature, Contemporary Prophesy, and Religious Structure

    Abstract: 
    Over the past half-century, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (LDS) has experienced rapid growth in Latin America, shifting the region's traditional Catholic and Protestant landscape. This geographical and cultural transition from North America raises critical questions about how Mormon theology adapts to a new cultural setting. This study provides a systematic analysis of Mormon theology in Latin America, examining its contextualization within the region's unique social and religious environment. Employing a mixed theological-sociological approach, the methodology integrates a critical examination of primary LDS texts (Iglesia de Jesucristo de los Santos de los Últimos Días) with a systematic review of academic literature on regional religious phenomenology. The findings reveal that while maintaining its core doctrinal frameworks, Mormonism has dynamically adapted to Latin American culture through religious interpretation, lived religion, and organizational structure. Consequently, a distinct "Latin American Mormon Theology" is emerging, reshaping the intersection of contemporary prophecy and social institution

    Title :الهیات نظام‌مند کلیسای مورمون در آمریکای لاتین: بررسی ماهیت اعتقادی، نبوّت معاصر و ساختار دینی
    Abstract: 
    کلیسای عیسی مسیحِ قدیسان آخرالزمان (LDS) طی نیم‌قرن گذشته یکی از بالاترین نرخ‌های رشد را در آمریکای لاتین تجربه کرده است؛ منطقه‌ای که تا نیمه قرن بیستم عمدتاً تحت سلطه کاتولیسیسم و در دهه‌های اخیر تحت تأثیر جنبش‌های انجیلی و پنیکاستی قرار داشت. این دگرگونی مذهبی در کنار انتقال الهیات مورمون از بستر آمریکای شمالی به جوامع لاتین،پرسش‌هایی اساسی درباره ماهیت اعتقادی، جایگاه نبوّت معاصر و ساختار نهادی این سنت دینی در متن فرهنگی جدید ایجاد کرده است.هدف پژوهش حاضر، تحلیل نظام‌مند الهیات مورمون در آمریکای لاتین و بررسی نحوه بومی‌سازی یا تطبیق آن با زمینه اجتماعی و دینی خاص این منطقه است.روش‌شناسی این پژوهش بر تلفیق رهیافت‌های تحلیل الهیاتی ـ جامعه‌شناختی، مطالعه انتقادی متون و منابع اولیه کلیسای مورمون (Iglesia de Jesucristo de los Santos de los Últimos Días) و همچنین مرور نظام‌مند پژوهش‌های دانشگاهی پیرامون مورمونیسم و پدیدارشناسی دین در آمریکای لاتین استوار است. نتایج نشان می‌دهد که مورمونیسم ضمن حفظ چارچوب‌های اعتقادی اولیه، در سطح تفسیر دینی، زیست مذهبی و ساختار سازمانی به‌گونه‌ای پویا با فرهنگ لاتین سازگار شده و نوعی «الهیات مورمون لاتینی»در حال شکل‌گیری است که جلوه‌ای تازه از پیوند میان الهیات، نبوّت زنده و ساختار اجتماعی کلیسا را به نمایش می‌گذارد.
