    Abstract:
The present study aims to elucidate the theological foundations of ethical therapy based on the theory of *Fitrah* (innate human nature). Certain non-theistic approaches to ethical therapy, due to their reductionist foundations, lack the capacity to comprehensively explain human moral reform; meanwhile, even within some theistic approaches, the potential of the *Fitrah* theory to analyze the origins of moral inclinations and the mechanisms of self-purification has not been fully utilized. Employing a descriptive-analytical method, this study demonstrates that *Fitrah*—as a divine reality within human nature—provides a theological framework for explaining free will, moral responsibility, and the possibility of human guidance. Accordingly, ethical therapy is a process of awakening, actualizing, and reorienting innate human potentials, rather than merely an external or imposed intervention. The findings indicate...Findings indicate that components such as God-orientation, an inclination toward goodness, an aversion to evil, and the perception of beauty—inherent in human nature—provide a coherent foundation for explaining the feasibility and efficacy of ethics-based therapy. Furthermore, legislative guidance plays a role in complementing and actualizing this potential. Consequently, ethics-based therapy grounded in the theory of innate human nature possesses greater theoretical coherence and can serve as a basis for designing practical models of moral reform.
