Abstract:
Belief in the Resurrection (Ma'ad), a fundamental pillar of Islam, has various dimensions. The manner of the resurrection of the dead, a central issue in eschatology, is a point of contention with numerous viewpoints. Ayatollah Subhani, a prominent contemporary theologian, while believing in the presence of the abstract soul in the Resurrection, also emphasizes the possibility of corporeal resurrection. He relies solely on textual evidence, particularly verses of the Holy Quran, to prove corporeal resurrection. This research aims to critically analyze the Quranic evidence cited by Subhani in proving corporeal resurrection. The research method in this study is theoretical and problem-oriented, based on content analysis of texts and argumentative examination, and through referring to the verses of the Holy Quran and Subhani's works, various arguments in this field are extracted and analyzed using the rules and principles of inference. The findings of the research indicate that Subhani's emphasis on the apparent meaning of the Quranic verses without intellectual analysis has led to the affirmation of corporeal resurrection in his thought, while reflection on the verses and evaluation of Subhani's arguments reveal ambiguities in the verses' indication of corporeal resurrection. Ultimately, this research demonstrates that Subhani's Quranic evidence in proving corporeal resurrection has significant ambiguities and the evidence cited by Subhani cannot be considered a definitive proof of corporeal resurrection.
